Black Friday is the biggest shopping time of the year and for good reason. Everyone leaves their biggest spending items for this time period because every store offers discounts and you can get some great deals on big household items.

Black Friday can be overwhelming. All those deals and sales, so many products, and huge crowds can leave you confused or even worse, spending money on things you don’t need.  That’s why it is so important to have a clear mind and a strong plan if you go Black Friday shopping.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals

Make a list of the things you need

Before Black Friday Sales start, make sure you think about what you really need and can get a great deal on. Most stores run the same sales during the year, at least once more so think about the products you can buy later. Write down everything you need to buy and get on to research. If you want to stock up on your supplements, make a list of everything you need, from pre-workout to protein powder.

Compare deals

When researching the product you want to buy, make sure you look for as many brands that make that particular product as you can. Make sure you have everything is written down, prices, percentages, shipping, product qualities, etc.

Don’t let the % fool you

When the Black Friday starts, you can see how big their sale is and not just the %. Make sure you see the price drop as well. Some brands have really high prices so even if they have a huge sale the products can still be more expensive than those of a brand that is having a smaller sale. Moving forward, you can make a better decision on which product to buy.

Set a budget

This is probably the most important tip we can give you. Although you might want to score the best deals on everything, don’t buy everything. Set a reasonable budget for your list. When you have everything planned out and written down, it is much easier to allocate your budget for the things you need.

Don’t fall for every sale

Just because something is on sale does not mean you need it. During huge sales we tend to lower our standards on quality and necessity. Of course, you can take advantage of the sales but make sure you do not overdo it. Stick to your budget and your list.

Check out the Apps

Many apps and websites are created to display sales and offers to people when they’re shopping. They will tell you which stores have the biggest discounts and even compare discounts between stores. They will also show you coupon codes that you might not already have to get an even better discount.

Move Online

The pandemic and huge crowds don’t go hand in hand but there’s another reason you should move online. Businesses usually advertise bigger discounts online to attract more customers. Take advantage of this and shop from the comfort of your own home. This means you’ll also save up on gas, parking and coffee money.

Whatever or however you shop this Black Friday, make sure you’re being safe and smart. Huge sales are not always the best way to get your hands on goods. Sometimes you might end up spending more than you planned on. Stick to the plan and good luck!
