Although the face is a major concern for many people, there is not enough information online about how our life diet and fitness choices affect the way our face looks.

Most of you might already know that a healthy diet can affect the condition of your skin but how about the weight that you carry in your face? Although there is no direct exercise you can do to target the weight on your face, general weight loss methods have proven to affect how chubby your face looks.

Alcohol can be fun but also trouble especially when it comes to weight loss. It is high in carbs but low in other nutrients and can be damaging to your weight loss journey. Alcohol is especially bad for your skin as it can irritate it and dull the natural glow.

Cut back on sodium

Salt is essential in our kitchens around the world. This plain and simple product is part of all our foods but it’s not that good us. The sodium in salt has been proven to cause skin tissue to swell which makes us look puffy in the face. Cutting back on iodized salt is one of the things you can do if you want to lose weight on your face.


During weight loss, your skin can begin to lose its elasticity and that can exaggerate your lines. Don’t forget to get the collagen. By losing weight, your skin loses its elasticity and collagen helps that. Collagen is a protein that forms the connective tissue for almost all of the structures including strengthening your bones and providing your skin with structure.


Cardio workout routine

A good weight loss workout routine is perfect if you want to lose weight on your face. When you exercise, you’ll lose weight in general, including your face. Since we can’t lose weight on our faces without losing weight in general, a cardio workout routine is essential.

Face exercises

Exercises that strengthen your face muscles have been around for more than 30 years. Although many are skeptical of their effect, many women practice them on the regular. Strengthening your facial and neck muscles can make the face appears a bit firmer. But face exercises will only work if you clean up your diet and exercise in general.


A good night’s sleep can help you maintain a healthy weight according to a study done on 70,000 women. According to the study, women who sleep only 5 hours a night are 32% more likely to gain weight than those who sleep 7 hours a night.


Drinking water is essential for your life yet most of us don’t drink nearly enough of it. Water has proven to help our health in general but it can also help us look good. It is important for hydration and can help you feel full as well as boost your metabolism.
